Thanks, all of you. For the most part, I'm out of Fundyville now, thank God. (Six months later, but still . . . .) Oddly, even though I'm now in a hotbed of liberalism, I rarely venture out - where I'm living is sort of a self-contained sanctuary. I've driven my car four times in three months.

And Kevin, thanks for the invite - I hope I can take you up on it someday. As you've probably guessed, I've spent virtually none of the last six months either kicking ass or having fun, but with the new year, I think the healing is finally beginning. I'm really looking forward to dumping a lot of pre-2008 baggage. [For the country, too, as well as myself. ;-)]

I have a friend raising a Lippizanner colt to stallionhood. If you ever need to get away from fundy territory, so's you'll ride that horsey a bit more often, come on up to Orygun with whatever entourage ya need.

I hope your absence is for more than healing this time and you're out kicking ass and having fun.

Righteous Bubba has some righteous craft, though I confess I felt a desire to edit everyone's rhymes. Still, the thread made me laugh out loud several times. Thanks, Lilith; I needed that!

As for those posts, I find myself decently tired most days lately. Oh... what's that? OK. Never mind! You are considerably ahead of me: I have a growing pile of bookmarks on the desktop pointing to things I want to blog about; all I need is the energy and inclination to do the writing. Every time I start, Dubya throws a spanner in the works (Rove, Gonzo, ...).
